Why PrathamOS exists

I registered a Private Limited company, and setting it up did not go well.

The people I was paying to help sent me screenshots of forms and asked me what to put in them. They did not understand what my business actually did. The price kept moving, and I felt overcharged for work I was doing a fair amount of myself.

I did not know all the compliances a company owes. When I read what the fines were, I did not feel safer — I felt more frightened, and less certain than before.

Then I changed CA, and found out I owned nothing

Switching was easy. What was not easy is that the new CA had no way of knowing what had already been done for my company — so I had to tell them everything myself, from memory, about filings I had not made.

I asked the old firm for a list of what they had already filed. They never replied. I never got the list.

I still carry that feeling today. What if I tell my CA something wrong. What if I miss something important. It is not a dramatic problem and there was no disaster — it is a low, constant uncertainty about my own company that I have never been able to put down.

What we are building instead

Founders should be spending their attention on the business. Not on wondering whether the compliance side is handled, and not on chasing people they have already paid.

So PrathamOS is built to make you certain. You can see what is already done and what is coming, at a glance, without going into the detail unless you want to. The record lives with your company — so if you change CA, the list goes with you, and nobody has to reply to an email for you to have it.

It also means you stop sending the same bank statement over for the tenth time.

What this is not

It is not a replacement for your CA. You will keep asking your CA things, and that is the relationship working properly — a good CA is worth paying for. This is something you check, so that when you do ask, you both already know where things stand.

It is also not a legal or financial advice service. It is an education and awareness platform. Anything that matters, confirm with your CA.

We are not open yet. We are opening in small waves, building Maharashtra's state rules first, and letting demand decide which state follows.
